Did you know that there's a way to create animations without using tweens or frame-by-frame animation? In today's free video tip, Craig will show you how you can animate an object across the stage using Actionscript instead of tweening.
11 - Resizing Animations (10:57)
In this video tip, Craig will show you how to resize an entire animation on the stage using the "edit multiple frames" option. He'll also show you how to convert an already-made animation into a movie clip by cutting and pasting frames.
12 - Orbit Effect (11:28)
In this tip, Craig will show you how to create an orbit effect where you'll create a moon that orbits around a planet using a motion guide. But how do you make the moon disappear as it passes behind the planet? Well, you'll have to watch to find out!
13 - Word Scramble (10:27)
Have you ever scrambled the letters in your name to make a new word? In today's free video tip, I'll show you how to explode a word into its component letters so that it comes back together to form a whole new word.
14 - Wavy Text (9:09)
In this tutorial, you'll learn how to create a wave effect that almost makes it look like your text is floating at the top of some wavy water. This effect would look great for a mouse roll over effect.
15 - Fading Text (8:22)
Trying to keep the novices in mind, in this tip Craig will show you how to create text that fades in. To make it a little more interesting and a little more useful for those of you who already know how to fade in text, Craig has also added some subtle animation that will hopefully give you some ideas for your own website.

In today's free video tutorial, Craig will show you how to create a simple sunrise effect in Flash by tweening a rectangle with a multicolored linear gradient applied to it.
18 - Movie Clip Buttons (21:31)
Using a movie clip symbol as a button gives you much more flexibility than just using a button symbol. In this longer-than-usual video tutorial, Craig will show you how to add much more appealing effects to your button by making it into a movie clip symbol.
19 - Flashing Face (13:39)
Have you seen the banner ads where a picture of a celebrity pops up on the screen, and then the picture flashes a couple times as kind of an animated highlight? Well, in this video, Craig will show you how to achieve this effect using an import png file. Keep in mind that in order to achieve this effect, where only the OUTLINE of the person is highlighted, you have to use an image with transparency around the person you want to highlight. This transparency can be achieved using photo editing software such as Photoshop.
