The objectives of this series are to familiarize the user with not only the latest enhancements to Photshop CS3, but to also provide useful tips and tricks in order to more utilize and enhance the overall user experience. In this series, Photoshop trainer Michael Blaustone guides you through these features in easy to follow, step by step tutorials.
This series will cover many of the new features that come bundled into the Photoshop CS3 workspace. We'll include all of the most essential tools, techniques, and tips and tricks. We'll take a look at features such as Smart Filters, the new Red Eye tool, the Adobe Bridge workspace, and the new PS3 collapsible toolbar and palettes to name just a few. The focus of these tutorials is to quickly get you up and running in the latest and greatest version of Photoshop CS3.

1 - The Workspace (Running Time - 6:23)
Photoshop CS3 now offers more workspace by allowing you to compact your palettes into a much smaller area. Palettes allow access to many commands and operations, including vector path information, color control, history, and layers just to name a few. Photoshop CS3 also now offers the one column tool bar for even more space saving functionality. In this tutorial we will familiarize ourselves with this new workspace.
2 - The New Black and White Conversion Tool <(Running Time - 8:24)
Photoshop CS3 offers up a powerful new option for converting your color digital photos to black and white with a brand new interface. Learn how to utilize these adjustments to create true art with your black and white photos.
3 - Color Correction and Red Eye Removal (Running Time - 7:57)
Learn how to use the new quick and easy red eye removal tool. We'll also take a look at advanced color correction in CS3 using Levels and Adjustments layers.
4 - Creating Smart Objects Layers (Running Time - 8:16)
You can now place any Photoshop layer or image as a Smart Objects layer. We'll take a look at how we can accomplish this while preserving all of the characteristics of the original file. This enables us to rotate, scale and warp without losing any of the original image data. We'll also learn how to duplicate the Smart Objects layer so that we can automatically update multiple instances of the document at the same time.
5 - Adobe Bridge CS3 At A Glance (Running Time - 8:49)
A quick overview of the powerful features that Adobe Bridge has to offer in CS3. We now have almost unlimited options as to how we want to view and organize our files from within Photoshop CS3. In this tutorial we will learn the basics, including opening Bridge and previewing images.
6 - Reverse Cropping (Running Time - 5:35)
We typically think of cropping in terms of reducing our image size. In this video, we will take a look at using the cropping tool in CS3 to expand and enhance our images and photos. This is a great technique for creating gift cards, invitations, and custom post cards.
7 - Color change with the new Quick Selection tool (Running Time - 7:21)

In this lesson, we will learn how to use the brand new Maximize Screen Mode in Photoshop CS3. We will also take a lesson in maximizing our creative work flow using images on text using CS3's Clipping Mask option.
10 - Digital Painting (Running Time - 8:58)
This is a great techique for creating artistic versions of your digital photographs. We will learn how to paint in photos using creative brushes and edges. This technique is especially handy for creating holiday photos and greeting cards.
11 - Creating a Custom Action (Running Time - 10:34)
Actions allow us to apply a series of commands to an image with one click of the mouse or one stroke of the keyboard. Learn how to easily speed up your Photoshop CS3 workflow with this powerful command. We will see how we can quickly apply this technique to multiple images and then save the action as a custom action to use again and again.
12 - Slideshow (Running Time - 7:37)
Photoshop CS3 and Adobe Bridge allow us a great new way to show off our work with Slideshows. This feature offers quick and easy settings for compiling our images into a very professional presentation. We will also learn how to tweak Slideshows with the Optins menu to create high quality transitions as well as create a personal professional intro and outro presenation slide.
13 - Text On A Path (Running Time - 8:25)
Tired of the same old static linear text? This is a great design technique for creating text on a path in Photoshop CS3. We will also take a look at an alternative technique for making selections with the pen tool.
14 - Smart Filters (Running Time - 9:24)
Smart filters in Photoshop CS3 offers up more image editing flexibility than ever before. We can control opacity settings, masking, and layer ordering simultaneously and, best of all, it's completely non destructive.
